Sharif International School on Theism: East and West is a theological-philosophical initiative with a 10-year vision. The first three years were planned for 2021, 2022, and 2023, focusing on the overarching themes of “God,” “Man,” and “Nature” consecutively.

The inaugural school in 2021 centered on “God” and hosted esteemed international scholars. It explored core themes such as the concepts of God, proofs of His existence, attributes, and actions. The second school, held online in 2022, focused on “Man” and addressed profound topics like the mind-body problem, the problem of evil, and the concept of free will. In 2023, the third school titled “Nature” featured distinguished international professors and was structured around three key themes: natural kinds, laws of nature, and teleology.

For the second three-year phase of this initiative, the focus has shifted to exploring the relationship between Theism and natural and social sciences. The fourth school, titled “Theism and Natural Sciences: A Special Scrutiny of Foundations, Theoretical Contemplations, and Evolutionary Explanations,” was held from October 15 to October 19, 2024. The first day of the event took place at Sharif University of Technology, featuring six distinguished speakers. In total, the school hosted 14 prominent Iranian and international scholars, making it a significant academic milestone.
